Scholarship recipient David Ledwitz shares his success story after receiving the award more than a decade ago:

I currently work at a Management Analyst for Accessible Services at VTA. I have been at VTA since 1997. My job involves providing technical support for the analysis and administration of VTA's ADA paratransit program and fixed route operations. I administer the paratransit no-show appeal program and have developed an accessible document training program that has been presented to over 50 VTA administrative employees. In 2000, I presented a $250 donation in front of those attending the APTA General Meeting at the San Francisco Annual Conference to express my appreciation for APTA's APTF recognition in 1993. I look back at the award and recognition with extreme respect and thankfulness; knowing that I may not be as fortunate as I am today had it not been for APTA's APTF award 13 years ago and the support of RCTC and VTA.
